This is a great “entry level” tablet for the price. You can browse the web, check email, access the Android market and download apps etc. Expecting it to perform equivalent to a $600 tablet is unrealistic. Please keep that in mind when considering this item. (More details below) The tablet has a 7" capacitive touch screen and runs Android version 4.0 Hardware is 512MB RAM DDR2, It has a `Nandflash' internal drive at 4GB though it can have an additional Micro SD card (up to 32GB) inserted to support expanded storage. The tablet includes Wifi 802.11b/g capability, Standard USB port via adapter, microphone, headphone socket and stereo 1W speakers. The battery is set internally. Should access ever be required it is necessary to remove the complete rear cover by unclipping via the two small access holes on one end. Typical laptop capability is present on the tablet - Web browsing, email, audio / video playback, downloading, time/date, organization, calculator, document, file management and setting functions. It has video playback in a variety of formats including AVI and MPEG as well as MP3, WMAs and other audio formats. Operation is via a simple ON/OFF push button on the top to boot up or down, there is also a toggle switch here which has different functions depending on what's running! LCD Capacitive screen responds well once you get the knack of point selection / dragging with your finger. General Playback Audio quality - 1 Watt integral speakers sound great.
