The reticulated Giraffe is a big favorite at many zoos. .With its long neck and legs,and cumbersome body, it manages to roam the wild grasslands of Africa, eating twigs and leaves from the trees that lend shade to the hot plains. This trinket box is adorable. Actually it is two separate and complete trinket boxes, one a mother giraffe and the other a baby calf giraffe. The are connected by three little, but strong magnets, but both are capable of standing separately.They measure 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" and have a hinge in the back and magnets holding the top in place. The body of the box is a metal base that is carefully hand-painted and then baked to a glass-like finish. Then real Austrian crystals are attached to both and they are nestled into their own custom gift box for safe shipping. This is a verry nice set for those loving the African wildlife.
