Rose oil is one of the symbols of Bulgaria. All around the world is known as “The Queen of the Essential Oils”. It is made from a special sort rose Rosa Damascena Mill. The first plants from this type came in Bulgaria from Damascus (Syria) around 350 years ago. In this region, between Stara Planina (Balkan Mountains) and Sredna Gora Mountains, the rose finds the most favorable climate for growing.
Rose oil is made by water-steam distillation of Rose Damascena. The production is seasonal process, which is taking place in the months of May and June for a period of 25-30 days.
Rose oil has yellow or yellow-greenish color that is easy flowing oily liquid. It has around 300 ingredients, 283 from them are identified. From the specific ratio of all the ingredients comes the variety of applications of the rose oil.
It used in perfume, cosmetics and pharmacy, as well as in aromatherapy. The rose oil made in distillery “Damascena” meets all Bulgarian standards and ISO.

How to use
The pure Rose oil is very concentrated. Do NOT apply it directly on the skin! Always use just a few drops – in the water of the bath, in Massage oil or in Aroma lamp. You can also add the Rose oil to any cosmetic products or perfumes, but again not more than 3-5 drops.
